Many people have learned about the work that Dr. Glenn Craft and his wife Lisa did while serving as fieldworkers with Christian Veterinary Mission (CVM) in Thailand from 1997 until 2001, either as clients or from the news media. The Crafts also spent a little time in Laos and Nepal as well during this time. Many have asked about this work, but it is hard to describe. They say a picture is worth a thousand words, and since the Internet makes it easy, here are some images of those years we are happy to share with anyone who is interested. Many of the pictures are captioned.

CVM is a sending organization through which about 27 veterinarians serve full time worldwide in the poorest of the poor countries within their profession, working to promote the health of livestock and community health. In a really poor country, livestock is the primary source of food, economy and even clothing. A veterinarian can transform the animal health issues as well as address human health issues by overseeing the establishment of water filtration systems and sanitary latrines. It is a unique slot which only a veterinarian can fill, and the relationship of trust and confidence that results opens the doors for them to address social and spiritual needs of the people as well. To learn more about CVM please go to their website at www.cvmusa.org.
